Family of Three

I had so much fun photographing this wonderful family last Friday!  With autumn finally brightening up in the area, we found some pretty color and plenty of leaves!  They wore fun fall colors, making it easy to create vibrant photos!

Autumn Abounds

2015 Oct KittyCircles

Autumn is finally showing it’s colors this week!  Leaves are definitely falling in larger quantities than in previous weeks and it won’t be long before trees have more branches than leaves.  It’s prime photo taking time and we’ve been having fun just spending time outdoors!  I’m going to have to start thinking about winter photo ideas soon, but I’m trying to enjoy these milder days first!

It’s Coming!

Halloween is coming!  For those of you with little ones, are you ready?  I’ve been asking my middle two children for ideas.  It’s interesting to see what they dream up each year!  I’d say it’s a bit easier for little ones since they don’t seem to care what they are dressed in as long as they get some sweet treats when all is said and done!

I’m working on getting some Halloween photos taken.  Love seeing kids in their Halloween costumes each year and it’s so fun to freeze those precious moments in time!

Don’t forget to take some photos of your little ones before the day of trick-or-treating!  They’re usually happy to try on their costumes before Halloween, so take the opportunity to take some photos while all is calm and the sugar high isn’t present!

Friday Black & White: Toddler Action

I’ve found that the best way to photograph a toddler is to follow.  They don’t respond well to bossiness (even though they tend to be bossy themselves).  If given the chance to explore their surroundings, they will provide plenty of opportunity to capture a frame worthy photo.

Friday Black & White: Morning Light

2015 JulyBreakfastToast

Some of us aren’t exactly morning people in our house.  I like the quiet of the early morning & the beauty of a new day, but first I have to get myself out of bed…that is the struggle.

Summer!

According to the calendar, it’s officially summer!  Finally.  The weather really hasn’t supported this announcement, but the neighborhood kids have been busy doing the usual summertime activities!

There’s nothing I like more than seeing them having fun outside and water always seems to be popular!  Add some goggles and you’ve got one fun photo opportunity!  I know he’ll thank me for this one someday.
